This 1930s bentwood rocking chair is based on the “Banana chair” which was originally designed by Jindrich Halabala. This is an iconic art deco era chair which is just as comfortable as it looks. We have completely restored and recovered it in a fabulous London Underground fabric dating from the same era in soft mint green cut velvet. We have kept true to its vintage pedigree by replacing the stuffing with only natural materials and using traditional techniques.
This is a one-off, designed and made by our crafty upholsterers in our workshop in Cheddar with a lot of love and attention to detail.
This lovely chair is available to order only.
