This beautiful late Victorian/Edwardian era armchair has been completely restored and traditionally upholstered from the frame up. It has a subtle patchwork design and buttons on the inside back and pleating and button detailing to the arms. It is covered in a soft but hard wearing 100% brushed cotton by Romo in a contemporary fenugreek colour. This is a unique one-off design by AMUSF qualified upholsterer Jillian Humphrey and brings this chair bang up to date. It also has a small scrap of an old luggage label on the rear leg which has been left attached which leaves just a trace of an adventurous story….
This chair that would suit a living room or spacious study. It is both stylish and characterful and extremely comfortable if you don’t like a saggy chair! With it’s traditional upholstery completely replaced, the structure will last you 50 years without the need for another upholsterer.
