This beautiful late Victorian/Edwardian era armchair has been completely restored and traditionally upholstered from the frame up. It has a subtle patchwork design and buttons on the inside back and pleating and button detailing to the arms. It is covered in a soft but hard wearing 100% brushed cotton by Romo in a contemporary fenugreek colour. This is a unique one-off design by AMUSF qualified upholsterer Jillian Humphrey and brings this chair bang up to date. It also has a small scrap of an old luggage label on the rear leg which has been left attached which leaves just a trace of an adventurous story….

This chair that would suit a living room or spacious study. It is both stylish and characterful and extremely comfortable if you don’t like a saggy chair! With it’s traditional upholstery completely replaced, the structure will last you 50 years without the need for another upholsterer.

Please note that all our chairs are vintage and antique originals so they may show some natural signs of having lived a life. Some chairs have been rescued from the tip, some have been donated, some bought at auction in a very sorry state, but all are lovingly restored, completely reupholstered and brought back to life by our clever upholsterers and restoration specialists.
